OSHA Compliance Extension to Owners

If building owners meet the standard of due diligence towards anchorage certification requirements, they may be granted a compliance extension. In a November 17, 2017 Citation Guidance Memo re: OSHA 1910, OSHA has acknowledged that building owners may need additional time to comply due to the limited availability of qualified persons to inspect, test and certify anchorages for RDS use. As part of this compliance extension, OSHA will not impose fines for RDS work done on the building after November 20, 2017.
