A1 Orange is pleased to invite you to participate in a back-to-school BBQ dinner/fundraiser on Saturday, June 30, 1-3 pm, in support of Commissioner Regina Hill’s District 5 “Back-to-School Celebration!” John Burrell, owner of Johnny’s Fillin Station and Johnny’s The Other Side, is donating most of the proceeds from a BBQ dinner for 100 people, to be held at the fun, open-air restaurant, “The Other Side,” at 2631 S. Ferncreek Road (at the intersection of Michigan and Ferncreek, Orlando). There is even a game area for kids to have fun!
Tickets for the BBQ, featuring ribs, pulled pork, chicken, potato salad, cornbread, and coleslaw are $20 per person. For children with littler appetites, the children’s menu is also available for ordering with kid-size prices. A1 Orange will throw in a beer, soda or iced-tea beverage ticket for any donation of cash and/or socks and underwear on that day.
As part of the “Back-to-School Celebration,” area sports’ teams, businesses and the community come together to help raise money so that students in her district will get that happy, back-to-school feeling that so many of us felt with our new school clothing and school supplies. This is the 3rd year that A1 Orange has participated, collecting socks and underwear as part of this effort.
If you would like to reserve tickets for this or make a donation, please email Brenda with your requests. Or you can mail donations to: A1 Orange Exterior Building Services, PO Box 555704, Orlando, FL 32855. Attn: District 5 BTS.
